This prompted the owner of Bekins, a growing independent appliance retailer, to take a hard look at reviving the Classic Stereo brand. A certified CEDIA member since 1993, Bekins had become West Michigan’s preferred, award-winning electronics integrator in recent years, so opening a dedicated A/V electronics store made perfect sense for the quickly expanding company. In 2014, Scott Bekins acquired the brand and began building a new store for a re-imagined Classic Stereo. Bekins even recruited some of Classic Stereo’s original experts, who can be found educating customers on the Showroom floor today.
In 2015, Classic Stereo reopened as West Michigan’s most trusted high end audio/video experts, with more integration experience and capabilities than ever before. A sister company to Bekins, Classic Stereo shares its award-winning reputation with Bekins’ customer and family-centered values. All delivery and installation services are provided by Bekins’ professionally certified team. Classic Stereo’s history of generosity are carried on through Bekins’ community involvement and 10% giving commitment.
The new Classic Stereo network of manufacturers and in-house installation services are backed by Bekins’ sterling reputation as the best home integration professionals in the industry.
Today, Classic Stereo is rewriting its own story as it explores the future of audio and video technology.
