SMART TV HELPS MODERNIZE LOCAL HOME

Smart TV Parade of Homes

A pair of Smart TV’s from Sony and audio gear from Sonos helps modernize a local home. See how it looks in a newly remodeled home during the 2017 Fall Parade of Homes.

Kenowa Builders extensively remodeled 310 Lakeside Drive in East Grand Rapids. The almost 100 year old home now also has new electronics from Classic Stereo. It is open to the public Friday October 20 and Saturday October 21 from 1-8pm.

INTEGRATE YOUR FAVORITE APPS WITH SMART TV

The remodeled home in East Grand Rapids features a variety of smart technology, including a 75-inch Sony Bravia Smart TV. Sony’s Android TV and Google Chromecast makes the TV smart by letting you transfer what’s on your phone to the bigger screen.

Think about all that you can enjoy in the comforts of your home:

  • games
  • photos
  • music
  • movies
  • internet apps
  • and more

Chromecast also makes searching easier by letting you simply use your voice.

The Grand Rapids Parade of Homes offers a firsthand look at the newest trends in home design. Bekins and Classic Stereo supplied products in six of the homes featured this fall. Click here to see them all.

The Grand Rapids Home Builders Association sponsors the event which runs from October 6 through October 21. Builders from 41 new homes will display their work to the public three days each week.

  • Wednesdays 5-8pm
  • Fridays 1-8pm
  • Saturdays 1-8pm

One remodeled home opens to the public on October 20 and 21 from 1-8pm. You can find electronics from Classic Stereo in that home.

The Parade of Homes offers quite a variety too. The home values range from $150,000 to over a million dollars. Click here to buy tickets online for only $10. Tickets cost $12 if you buy them at the home. Children 12 and under get in free with a paying adult.

TALK ABOUT VIDEO QUALITY!

The Sony Bravia Smart TV pairs 4K Ultra HD picture quality with the contrast, color and detail of High Dynamic Range.

With four times more pixels, 4K Ultra HD TV’s offer much better clarity to your picture.

High Dynamic Range increases the range of contrast and colors. It makes images appear to have more “depth.”

Add the 120Hz native refresh rate plus Motionflow XR and you can watch fast moving action scenes with virtually no motion blur.

PLAYBAR OR PLAYBASE? A QUESTION FOR TV AUDIO

Sonos Playbase TV Audio

Sonos added Playbase to its TV audio options this spring. The new product makes Sonos fans choose between Playbase and Playbar.

You may visit Classic Stereo and ask our Electronics Professionals, “Which one is the best fit for my home?”

In turn, they will ask you some questions.

HOW IS YOUR tELEVISION, TV AUDIO AND ROOM DESIGNED?

Sonos says the audio output differs for each speaker but they produce the same quality sound.

So it comes down to design.

Have a flat screen TV mounted to a wall? The Playbar links to the bottom of the television, mounts to the wall below it, or can sit by itself on a TV stand.

On the other hand, the Playbase lives up to its name. Put a black TV stand on the Playbase and it should blend right in.

While you may not notice the look, the sound from the Playbase should stand out.

PLAYBASE FEATURES

If you do not want the Playbase in black, you can get it in white too. Both colors support up to 77 pounds of television.

You should not have any problems setting it up either. Plug in one cord for power and the other cord connects to the TV.

It can provide audio for more than your television. It streams music over WiFi instead of Bluetooth, which comes in handy when you get a phone call. WiFi music does not stop for the phone.

Finally, pair it up with SUB and two PLAY:1s for 5.1 surround sound.

PLAYBAR FEATURES

Playbar shares many of the same features:

  • Simple two-cord setup
  • TV audio and music streaming
  • Stream that music over WiFi
  • A wireless sync with SUB and two PLAY:1s for 5.1 surround sound

The Playbar also works wall mounted or laying flat.  It even works with your existing TV remote.
